About Us

Dr. Keeli Gailes

Dr. Gailes is a wife, a mother, and an ally to all. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of West Florida and her Doctorate of physical therapy from UNC Chapel-Hill. She specializes in treating the pelvis, head, neck, and spine including; low back/SI joint disorders, pelvic pain/pain with intercourse, urge incontinence, urinary frequency, TMJ dysfunction, and tension headaches.

Having a background in sports-medicine has greatly influenced the way that she practices because as an athletic trainer, the focus is on optimization of movement, not just treatment of dysfunction. Because of this, her patients leave return-to-play ready, not just “functional”.

Growing up, she moved and traveled frequently, giving her the opportunity to see the world from multiple perspectives. Having also come from parents with very different socio-economic and social backgrounds, she values the richness that diversity brings. This value of diversity has influenced her specialization as a PT, as she is drawn to working with individuals who are not always well supported by the medical system and who often find themselves frustrated and feeling alone in their struggles. This is what led her to become a pelvic-health specialist and how she has come to enjoy working with underserved populations including; LGBTQ+, BIPOC, EDS/hypermobility, pregnant/postpartum women, those suffering from chronic pain/illness, and men. She has found that taking a caring, holistic approach and integrating it with current, evidence-based treatment techniques allows her to help her patients get back to living their best life.
